Here at Spokane Area NOW, we believe that menstruating is not a luxury!

The Washington house has introduced HR 1265 to eliminate the taxes placed on feminine hygiene products including "...sanitary napkins, tampons, 23 menstrual cups, or any other similar product sold at retail designed 24 specifically to catch menstrual flow either internally or externally."

​

We are dedicated to making this a reality as it will save the women of Washington state approximately $5 million per year.

​

We'll be planning a series of events to give help to the bi-partisan sponsors of the bill and ensure that we get this passed so that women no longer have to worry about spending that extra money - because in this economy, every penny helps!
